THE BOOK PARTY

We had a fantastic night of fun and foolery last night.

Here are some of the titles of the books that were selected, stolen, and cried over:

  • A Mercy
  • Dewey
  • Edgar Sawtelle
  • Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
  • It's Not Quite What I Was Planning
  • Holidays on Ice
  • 3 Cups of Tea
  • Alex and Me
  • America's Hidden History
  • Hugo Cabret
  • Arsonist's Guide to Writer's Homes in New England
  • On Chesil Beach

Gerald got a book and I can't remember the title. I have a feeling I may be missing a few others as well.

REMEMBER: We'll have another meeting in January. Rise, can we come back to your space???

Happiest news of the night: As I walked into my house, I was thinking about how I didn't get to take any potato salad home with me, and I was feeling a little sad about that and thinking that I wanted to eat some potato salad, but I would never get the chance, when my doorbell rang and there was a favored tawler with the potato salad, extending it to me in solidarity and friendship. So, the old maxim, be careful what you wish for, does not apply in this case. I say, "Wish away!"

I had to go out and buy "It's Not Quite What I Was Planning," yesterday. I love these six word memoirs.

I've printed off the list of books. Thanks for doing this, Lee. If anyone is finished with their book, and is willing, bring it to January's meeting to exchange.

I like this idea. I'm half way through the Guernsey Literary Society. It's very good.

Also, we need to pick a date for the january meeting.
